Horsetooth Hoppers

What’s the best way to take your swing dancing to the next level? Joining the NoCo Swing Dance Horsetooth Hoppers performance team. When you join the performance team, you’ll surround yourself with fellow dancers with the common goal of growing and improving as dancers.

A new season for the Horsetooth Hoppers performance team is beginning soon with the goal to perform at the annual New Year’s Eve Ball in Fort Collins. We are excited to work with Shauna Marble, a well known swing dance instructor and choreographer from Boulder, to create a NoCo Swing Dance community routine. This routine will consist of classic six and eight count Lindy Hop moves, as well as Charleston that you will find on the social dance floor.

If you know some basic swing dance moves and you would like to elevate your dancing, there is nothing that will do that faster than being part of a fun team of dancers with the same goal. If you are interested or have any questions, send us a private message

Events This Week

NoCo Swing Progressive Lessons, Intro Swing

This class will introduce you to the wonderful world of East Coast Swing. No experience is required to take this course as we will start with the basic footwork and progress as the month goes on. This month’s progressives are taught by Kali and Olivia.

Location: Northside Aztlan Community Center
Cost: $20 per 4 class series

NoCo Swing Progressive Lessons, Intermediate Lindy Hop

This class will build on the basics and expand upon movement and connection within the bounds of eight count Lindy Hop. This class is great for those looking to expand their repertoire beyond basic swing outs. This month’s progressives are taught by Kali and Olivia.

Progressive Lesson Series with Kevin & Beth – Charleston

The first series of progressive lessons taught by Kevin and Beth this fall will focus on the Frankie Six. This class will introduce foundational single steps and triple steps, turns, shapes, and patterns that can easily be led and followed in various combinations to fill an evening of dancing. An Evening of Swing Featuring The Carter Musson Trio

Join NoCo Swing Dance every Saturday night throughout the summer at The Exchange for dancing and live music. Learn the basics of swing during the complimentary lesson and swing the night away to live music after. Bring the family, grab some dinner, ice cream, and have some swingin’ fun! This week’s live music will be presented by The Carter Musson Trio.

NoCo Swing Friday Dance & Beginner Lesson

Social dances are the bread and butter for continuing to build our amazing swing dance community. We will always have a beginner lesson at the start of the night. If applicable, we will also run a beginner plus or intermediate class in parallel if there is enough demand on the night. No partner is needed, and all experience levels are welcome.
